iPhone 16 chipset and camera
According to the tipster, iPhone 16 chipset will be the Bionic A18. Which will process from N3P 3nm node technology of TSMC. Alongside, he mentioned the other Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Mediatek Dimensity 9400 will also use this similar technology to process.
Recently, a report from DigiTimes suggests that TSMC will continue using 3nm node technology this year and develop it as N3P 3nm node. So, the TSMC will start using 2nm node from next year with Bionic A19 chip.
Additionally, this latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 uses 4nm technology of TSMC. So this move to 3nm process node will give more enhanced performance from the upcoming Gen 4 and even on Dimensity 9400.
This process node especially defines the transistors that exist in a chip. The more transistors in a chip or less nanometer process node will give higher performance. It consumes less power and delivers faster performance.
Back to Apple iPhone 16 chipset, the Bionic A18 will have dual Wi-Fi6e and Wi-Fi 7 connections. The rear panel will equip dual camera setup, mentioned here the primary and a telephoto lens. Both are 48MP resolution and the telephoto will have 5x optical zoom.
