Xiaomi, a Chinese electronics company, is known for producing budget-friendly smartphones with impressive features. One of its latest offerings, the Redmi 12C, is no exception. The smartphone was launched in India alongside the Redmi Note 12 4G and has quickly garnered attention from consumers for its affordability and features.

Redmi 12C launched in four different colours: Matte Black, Mint Green, Royal Blue, and Lavender Purple. It features a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD panel display, a 60Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch that houses the front camera.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is known for providing good performance at an affordable price. One of the most impressive features of the Redmi 12C is its 5,000mAh battery, which is large enough to last an entire day on a single charge. The phone also supports 10W wired charging.

In terms of camera, the Redmi 12C launched with a dual-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel camera located inside the waterdrop notch.

Redmi 12C runs on Android 12 based MIUI 13 out-of-the-box, and it also includes a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Users can expand the storage capacity up to 1TB via the microSD card slot, and the Virtual RAM feature expands the RAM by an additional 5GB.

Redmi 12C launched in two variants: a base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and a higher-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The base variant is priced at ₹8,999 ($109) while the higher-end version costs ₹10,999 ($133).

Redmi 12C will be available for purchase from April 6 on Flipkart, Amazon, Xiaomi’s website, official stores, and other retail outlets. Xiaomi is also offering a discount of ₹500 ($6) as part of bank offers, and there is an exchange bonus of Rs. 500 on old Xiaomi devices
