Huawei Mate X3 has launched, with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Huawei launches its new foldable smartphone, the Huawei Mate X3. Weighing just 239g, it is lighter than its competitors, and has a larger display, a bigger battery, and a periscope zoom camera. When unfolded, the Mate X3 is only 5.3mm thick, making it impressively slim.

The Huawei Mate X3 has two 120Hz-capable displays, a cover screen that measures 6.4 inches that has 1080 × 2404 pixels, and an inside or main screen is 7.85 inches with 2224 × 2494 pixels. Both screens offer high resolution and aspect ratios, making them perfect for viewing multimedia content.

The phone has water-proof enabled at IPX8 standard, Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also uses same standard. It also offers two-way satellite communication on this phone. While iPhone 14 series reintroduced satellite connection again.

The phone is equipped with a triple camera on the back and two 8MP selfie cameras, one on each screen. The 50MP f/1.8 wide camera is joined by 13MP ultrawide and 12MP telephoto shooter with 5x zoom.

Running on Harmony OS 3.1, the Huawei Mate X3 has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Huawei X3 pricing

The Huawei Mate X3 will be available in China, with prices starting at CNY 12,999 ($1,999) for the 256GB model. Double the storage costs CNY 13,999 ($2,050), while the top 1TB trim is CNY 15,999 ($2,340). There is no word on global availability yet.
