Google Camera 8.8 enhances Night Sight mode for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro

Google Camera 8.8, the latest update of Google’s camera app for Pixel smartphones, is now available for older models, bringing enhanced performance to the camera app.

The update of Google Camera particularly benefits Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users, who will notice improved performance while using the Night Sight feature, resulting in reduced noise in images, thanks to machine learning technology.

Along with camera stability and performance improvements, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners will enjoy the Faster Night Sight feature from the latest generation of Pixel phones, along with improved exposure levels and fewer motion blur issues. This feature was first introduced in the Pixel 7 series out-of-the-box.

According to a report of 9to5Google, Google Camera 8.8 update also allows users to select the exposure time by tapping the “seconds” option on the Night Sight tab and choosing between 1, 2, 3, or Max (6s) exposure time, depending on the lighting conditions.

Moreover, Google’s recently released March patch improves camera stability and performance in specific conditions for Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series of smartphones. This update also improves color accuracy or exposure levels for the front cameras on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Pixel owners can download the Google Camera 8.8 update via the popular APK sharing website APKMirror, or it is expected to be available widely via the Play Store. Furthermore, Google also released in March, the Pixel Feature Drop for the Pixel smartphones and the new Pixel Watch, which is available for download and around 500MB in size.
