It is time for launching a new and upgraded chip. As usual, Qualcomm is going ahead to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It will be the successor of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Qualcomm planned a few months ago to launch it in November.
Snapdragon Summit to be held on 15-17 November in Hawaii
In recent tweets, Qualcomm polls about the place of Snapdragon Summit. There it says about a few weeks remain from the event.
Based on the latest report, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has 1+2+2+3 serial configuration. Where a single Cortex-X3 CPU cores, double Cortex-A720 CPU cores, double Cortex-A710 CPU cores and triple Cortex-A510 CPU cores.
According to Ice Universe, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses dual Cortex-A715, instead of Cortex-720 CPU. The Cortex-X3 CPU has maximum 3.2GHz clock speed, Cortex-A510 has 2GHz, finally the Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710 CPU has 2.8GHz clock speed.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processed by 4nm technology based on TSMC. It is about to use many flagship phones after launching. Mainly mentioned Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Vivo X90 series etc devices. Of them, Vivo 90 series launching might be held soon.
