Poco F5 5G, the anticipated F-series smartphone from Chinese smartphone maker Poco, is expected to launch globally in the near future. It is said to be the successor to the Poco F4, which was released last year. Now upcoming successor, Poco F5 5G is ready to launch in India on April 6.
Poco F5 5G appeared on FCC
Recent reports suggest that Poco F5 5G appeared appeared on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website. The listing on the FCC website has also unveiled some of the key details of the phone. It is expected to be available in three RAM and storage configurations, including 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.
The global version of the Poco F5 appeared on the FCC website with model number 23049PCD8G. The listing not only hints at an imminent launch but also reveals some of the device’s key features. It indicates that the Poco F5 will feature up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.
Additionally, the listing mentions that the phone will run on Android 13 with MIUI 14, out of the box. The connectivity options are listed to include dual SIM network support with 5G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an IR blaster.
Furthermore, a Poco device with the “POCO F5” moniker was previously spotted on the IMEI database with the model number 23049PCD8G. The Indian variant of the phone with model number 23049PCD8I was also spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in February.
Poco F5 5G as a rebrand of Redmi Note 12 Turbo
In the mean time, rumours believed that Poco F5 5G appeared on FCC, will be the active rebrand of Redmi Note 12 Turbo for India and global market. Accordingly, it will features a 6.67 inch of AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate.
Alongside, as a rebrand of redmi Note 12 Turbo, it will powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, which recently announced by Qualcomm. The backstage has a 5,500mAh capacity battery and a 67W fast charger.
Overall, the Poco F5 5G is expected to be a highly anticipated smartphone, and more details about its launch are expected to surface soon.
