Samsung has officially launched the latest additions to their Galaxy A-series smartphones globally, introducing the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G. These new smartphones boast fast Super AMOLED displays, a choice of custom Exynos and MediaTek processors, OIS-backed triple cameras, and sizeable 5,000mAh batteries, and they are the successors to last year’s Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33.
Specifications of Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G features a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a glass back design and IP67 rating. It is available in four different colours: Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White.
The phone comes with a choice of Exynos 1380 processors paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, which is expandable up to 1TB using a micro-SD card.
The A54 5G is equipped with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera, along with a 32MP selfie camera. The device runs on Android 13 based One UI 5.1 and has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, on the other hand, boasts a 6.6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a “glasstic” back design and IP67 rating. It is also available in four colours: Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Silver.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, which is also expandable up to 1TB using a micro-SD card.
It has a 48MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera, along with a 13MP selfie camera. The device runs on Android 13 based One UI 5.1 and has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging.
Both the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are guaranteed to receive 4 major OS updates and up to 5 years of security updates.
The Galaxy A54 5G starts at £449 (about Rs 45,000), while the Galaxy A34 5G starts at £349 (about Rs 35,000). These new Samsung smartphones will be available in select markets in Europe and Southeast Asia from March onwards. In addition, the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are set to be launched in India on March 16.
