Sharp Sense 8 debuts with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

In a short description, Sharp Sense 8 is a budget device in Japan that enlisted a 4nn process chip and highlights design and specs to capture the Japanese market. Although Japan is highly decorated by their own manufacturer, the outsider is also in a good position.

Sharp Sense 8 debuts in Japan

Sharp Sense series was introduced first in 2017. After that the company released a total of 7 devices in six years. Now the Sense 8 comes with a 6.1 inch IGZO OLED display, Full HD+ resolution (1080 × 2432 pixels). It features 1-90Hz dynamic refresh rate and 1,300 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip which is manufactured from the 4nm technology process. It brings just 6GB LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB UFS 4.0 storage, an external slot added here to expand storage up to 1TB.

There is a dual camera setup done in the Sharp Sense 8 model, primarily a 50MP resolution sensor with OIS support and 2x zoom which is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

The battery capacity is 5,000mAh without informing about charging speed, 159g weight and 153 × 71 × 8.4mm dimensions.

Sharp Sense 8 debuts in Japan with a price tag of 63,150 JPY (416 USD) for the 6+128GB storage units. Users can expand storage via microSD cards.

There is a close competitor named Pixel 7a. The price range is closer. Also it is compared to Sony Xperia 5 V that runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 predecessor Snapdragon 695.
