Samsung is set to incorporate AMD graphics into its mid-range Exynos chip lineup, with the introduction of these new GPUs expected in Samsung’s midrange smartphones as early as next year.

This collaboration between the two companies has been ongoing, with Samsung’s premium Exynos 2200 SoC utilizing AMD’s RDNA2 graphics architecture, featuring advanced technologies like ray tracing. However, the upcoming mRDNA graphics, which are rumored to debut in Exynos 1430 and 1480, will primarily enhance image processing capabilities.

Samsung’s primary objective in this partnership is to enhance the machine learning and image processing capabilities of its affordable devices, with gaming performance taking a secondary role.
