Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro hits on NBTC ahead of January 8 event

Asus pre-scheduled the upcoming CES 2024 event that will take place on January 8. The event will be held in Las Vegas at 3.0 pm local time. In an announcement via X (formerly Twitter) Asus’s social media team shared the date of the event. Also, the Chinese release will be held on January 16.

The new lineup ROG Phone 8 series was going under discussion. As it is one of the best gaming smartphone series, people focus on their every approach and now the new series will bring new experience obviously. This series will have three models, the base ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.

ROG Phone 8 Pro hits on NBTC

Before getting launched in any local market, smartphones have to be permitted by certification sites. Those check and give a clearance certification to go for launch. Like every smartphone manufacturer, Asus also gains NBTC certification for ROG Phone 8 Pro.

According to the listing on NBTC, Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes the model number AI2401_D. In a previous leak we have seen the design and given some short hits of specifications.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, runs on Android 14 OS. As per rumors, it will feature a 6.78 inch AMOLED panel display, Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate to ensure higher frame rate (fps) on gaming.

Backed will expand via up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. It is IP68 rated, which means protection from dust and water, an in-display fingerprint scanner also included here.

Rumor mills share a triple camera setup as well as these names and resolutions. The primary is a 50MP camera of Sony IMX890 sensor which is a widely used sensor in flagship devices. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 32MP telephoto lens. The punch hole notch brings a 32MP selfie snapper.
