The era of AI is spreading very fast. OpenAI first accelerates and then every tech giant is taking a position to make their mark. Remarkably, Samsung is the first smartphone brand that includes AI chatbot inside smartphones, Galaxy S24 series.
This implementation of AI is for competing against Apple. When Apple and Samsung are the biggest rivals in the smartphone industry. Apple is taking first position in the Chinese phone market where Samsung is even out of 5.
Apple will use Generative AI on iPhone 16
It is obvious that Apple has to take a position to counter-strike Samsung. Recently, Tim Cook has announced it, they are going to implement an AI chatbot inside their upcoming iPhone 16 smartphones. Though we expect to find AI feature later the iPhone 16 series, Apple will have to bring in response of these sudden issues.
Though Samsung uses the model of Google, Gemini Pro in the global market for text summarizing, smart replies etc and also this feature is managed by Baidu’s Ernie in China. But Apple will not do this. They will appear on their own as a tech giant.
Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple said about Generative AI on iPhone 16,
In terms of generative AI, which, I’d guess, is your focus, we have a lot of work going on internally as I’ve alluded to before. Our MO, if you will, has always been to do work and then talk about work and not to get out in front of ourselves. And so, we’re going to hold that to this as well. But we’ve got some things that we are incredibly excited about that we’ll be talking about later this year.
Apple is already testing some features of AI from their inside. While the iOS 17.4 hits some code of AI that summarizes, replies messages smartly.
Apple iPhone 16 series will launch in September of this year. Before this, Apple will introduce at WWDC in summer. So we could get an early glitch of this upcoming generative AI on iPhone 16.
